MAKE-A-WISH!!
Nationally, Chi Omega supports the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Make-A-Wish believes that wishes make life better for kids with life-threatening illnesses which is the heart behind the foundation and drives everything they do. This foundation is near and dear to our hearts and we are so passionate about supporting it! Chi Omega is proud to be a top sponsor for Make-A-Wish and we are eager to continue to raise money for the foundation. When a wish is granted, a child replaces anxiety with hope, sadness with joy, and fear with confidence.
Every fall, we host our annual Waffles for Wishes event and invite the UVA community to join us for an unlimited waffle bar, acapella performances, and great company! Each spring, we host Weenies for Wishes, one of our most popular fundraising events, consistently drawing strong engagement from across Grounds. Held as a cookout on our front lawn, the event brings together unlimited hot dogs, live music, and a shared commitment to supporting Make-A-Wish.
During 2025, the sisters of Lambda Gamma raised $23,000! These funds were donated directly to Make-A-Wish Greater Virginia, and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to impact our community and surrounding areas.
